Apprehensive versus Proactive parents Proactive parents visit a pediatric dentist and establish a dental home as early as the first tooth erupts in the oral cavity. Apprehensive parents of this 4-year-old kept delaying dental care fearing how the child would cope, and deferred his dental care since General Anesthesia was the only option given to them.
